Nogomi Doll Workshop
At the end of the war in 1945, he began making Nogomi dolls.
At the time, Japan was in a state of turmoil following the end of the war, so these dolls and bells were created with the hope of bringing some joy and comfort to people's hearts .
A few years after the war, they began selling them as talismans and good luck dolls at Yutoku Inari Shrine in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, and handcrafting clay dolls based on the zodiac and local festivals .
It is still popular with many people today.
The dolls are shaped using matching molds and then fired at 900 degrees.
After that, they are painted white and then painted one by one with pigments.
A rabbit was featured on a New Year's stamp in 1963, a sheep in 1991, and an Inari horse in 2014.
